Price Micro Markets Dashboard

Price Micro Markets Basics

How to Read

This dashboard analyzes micro markets or prize zones (e.g., Ad patches in Lowe's) with inconsistent product pricing. It allows you to drill down into a given market/zone to identify which specific products are priced inconsistently, and how they are priced at each store.

How to Use

Keep your house clean with your merchant. If your prices are not aligned within your price zones or if competing SKUs are changing prices that should be matched, you can influence your retailer to stay current with pricing trends. Learn how price trends drive competitive advantages for others in the market and implement price changes in the correct geographic areas.

Key Metrics

Price Micro Market

Retailer specific groupings of individual stores. Lowes calls these "Ad Patches", Home Depot calls them "markets". In theory, pricing strategy is consistent across all stores within the same Ad Patch

Boundary Percentage

If a product's price at any store varies by more than this value compared to the micro market Mode Price then that product is flagged as inconsistently priced for that micro market

Products With Inconsistent Price

The total number of products within a given micro market that are flagged as inconsistently priced.

Mode Price

The most frequently occurring list price for a given item across all stores within a given micro market. Notably, this is calculated for the "Period Start" time period, not the current time period.

Min Price

The lowest list price (including promotions) across all stores within a given micro market.

Max Price

The highest list price (including promotions) across all stores within a given micro market.
